Welcome!

I'm so glad you're here.

At my core, I’m a storyteller, a creative, an empathizer, a deliverer, and an optimist. I see education as more than just a system—it's a journey of becoming. When students are given access to knowledge and the right environment to grow, they can unlock parts of themselves they didn’t even know existed.

I believe every learner deserves that chance. That’s why I’m dedicated to creating classrooms where curiosity is welcomed, challenges are embraced, and every student is seen, heard, and supported. Education isn’t just about facts and figures—it’s about helping individuals step into their fullest potential. And it all starts with a space where they feel safe enough to grow.

Let’s learn together.

My passion for teaching history was first planted in the classroom - but it also blossomed in the dance studio.

From a young age, I was captivated by history — by the stories of how we got to where we are today. I carried that curiosity with me through my academic studies, where I explored historical narratives through texts, discussions, and research. But I also found history in the most unexpected place: the dance studio. There, through movement and choreography, I discovered new ways of understanding culture, identity, and time. Whether it was learning a piece inspired by a specific era or exploring themes of resilience and revolution through dance, I realized that history isn’t confined to books—it lives and breathes in our bodies, our communities, and our creative expression.

It was through teaching dance that I first experienced the joy of guiding others in their learning. I saw how movement could help people connect not only with each other, but with something deeper within themselves, lead with empathy, and create inclusive spaces where everyone feels seen and valued. These are the same skills I bring into the academic classroom—meeting students where they are, and helping them find their voice in the larger story of humanity.

The classroom nurtured my love of learning. The studio helped me understand the power of teaching. Together, they shaped my identity as an educator who believes in the transformative power of connection, creativity, and context. I teach not just to impart knowledge, but to inspire curiosity, so that my students, too, can understand where we’ve come from and imagine where we might go next.
